White Gold Ring

The white gold is very poorly used term in the fine jewelry industry to describe the carat gold alloys with a whitish glow.

The term "white" encompasses a wide range of colors, pale yellow, pale pink and are colored brown, the jewelry industry often hides these colors with white rhodium, a white metal and reflection, which provides an excellent protective layer.

White gold is an alloy of gold and at least one white metal, usually silver, copper, manganese, palladium or nickel. Nickel and palladium act as the primary bleaching agent for gold, zinc acts as a bleaching agent to compensate for the secondary color of copper.

White gold properties depends on the metals and the proportions used in the alloy in each: a nickel alloy is higher and therefore better for the rings and pins, while palladium alloys softer and better for the parameters of precious stones .
